Hull’s one man show over powers Team Northumbria
On a Freezing cold Wednesday afternoon at Bullocksteads, Hull University travelled to Newcastle for the latest instalment of the Gillette Super Six League. Hull started the quicker and it only took 4 minutes for Hull’s Dennis Tuffor to burst through some sloppy defence to streak in from half way before seeing his own conversion attempt fall short.
Northumbria’s forwards started to get into the game but couldn’t convert the pressure into ppints. 18 minutes in and Hull scored against the run of play through centre Jordan Rice who touched down in the left corner, a great conversion from Tuffor took the score to 0 - 10.

The game started with a typically swift tempo which provided an even arm wrestle for the first twenty minutes or so. Loughborough were penalised for a number of early errors which meant for the first 10 minutes they seemed to be defending more than attacking.
